Password-protected statements can be inconvenient when you are gathering monthly documents for bookkeeping or your own archive. If you have the statement’s password, you can use DePDF to create an unlocked copy.
Start with the password from your bank
Use the instructions supplied by the statement issuer to find the correct password. Password formats vary: DePDF cannot identify or recover a bank statement password for you.
Create a copy for your records
- Download the original statement from your bank.
- Choose the PDF in DePDF and enter its password.
- Select “Remove password” and find the new file in your browser’s downloads.
- Open the downloaded copy and check the statement before adding it to your records.
Your document stays in your browser
DePDF processes the PDF on your device instead of uploading it to a server for conversion. The unlocked download contains the same sensitive information as your statement, so store it somewhere appropriate and check the recipient before sharing it.
What this tool does
